I asked a medical doctor friend of mine why I need to wear a mask if she's wearing a mask. She said it's so I don't spread the virus. I said, assuming I have the virus (and of course assuming there even is a virus) if people are worried about getting the virus, let them wear a mask. She said the virus can still go in her mask, but not out my mask. She is a doctor, and she thinks masks work this way. I said the virus doesn't know or care which side of the mask fabric it's on. I witnessed the software glitch, and then she said again that I still need to wear a mask so I don't spread the non-existent virus I don't have through a cotton mask that's too loose to block submicroscopic coronaviruses anyway. She also maintained that it's impossible to get a bacterial pneumonia infection from wearing a well used mask.
