Well I've been told by black people I know it is impacting the black population more, and causing more fatalities among blacks. I know one that got it and stayed in the hospital almost two weeks.

I had it for two and half days. My wife had it for over two weeks. She ended up making a visit to the ER but was not hospitalized.
