Yeah, I'm skeptical that Trump instituting martial law under the Insurrection Act would be a positive thing. Perhaps it would avoid a Biden/Harris presidency, but at what cost? I'd bet the first things the military would do are confiscate weapons from American citizens, implement harsh curfews, restrict freedom of speech, etc. Meanwhile conservatives who would normally oppose all these things would cheer for it because "our guy" is in charge. Once that framework is in place, it's extremely hard to reverse it and get our rights back. And we have to remember that Trump has repeatedly said that White Nationalism is a reprehensible... he may have made changes we like, but he's not really on our side.
