Thinking about going vegan for several weeks this spring/summer. We garden so it kinda makes sense. Mostly want to try out of curiosity and to drop a little weight.

We need to (as mentioned) upvote each other more...and get friends and family on Reddit to migrate.

As I type this, we have 878 subscribers, and IIRC there are about 12 people on here now. Quite a difference from Reddit!

I would also suggest that the admins put up a link for BTC donations and ASK for said donations when their serverspace gets a bit cramped. Remember, you cannot give (useless) gold here which is a HUGE revenue stream for the Neuhaus family.

So what's the deal Voat?? Will you take my money? I have little to give, and really appreciate that you don't beg for money at every opportunity--but in my book that calls for a donation.

You folks should post a QR so that people like me (who use Coinbase or something similar) can simply scan the screen and shoot you some BTC.

Let me also add that there are serious issues with red meat and antibiotics. Not to mention BSE.

You are a wise man...I just wish that I had your willpower and your drive. Do you think that juicing would be a good way to convert? Or are you losing too many nutrients in the pulp that the juicer discards?

You are correct--I have eliminated all that you mentioned from my diet a year ago, along with wheat. I will only eat chicken and duck now as "meat." I derive what used to be "dairy" from soy...I personally like the taste FAR better. Don't get me started on chocolate Edensoy...mmmmmmm, soy. I DO indeed feel SO much better!! Red meat makes me feel exhausted. Do you go through this IF you eat it?

My problem is that I'm allergic to 'shrooms so most "veggieburgers" are out of the question for me.

No...I DO agree. I just know that I could never do it as I live, basically, on starches, sugars, and protein. I have nothing but respect for vegans. It takes knowledge and willpower.
