One thing that would go a LONG way is MANDATORY body cameras for cops; double-redundant cameras that stream to a cloud service AND store locally. Ideally, the cams should stream to the State police, the trunk of the cop in question's car, AWS (or OCS), and store to a MicroSD. This way, timestamp discrepancies can be investigated and reconciled...and there can be NO excuses of "equipment malfunction" as the chances of data being lost are, basically, non-existent. Cam operation (of the dual cameras with dual batteries and dual circuitry) could/would be spot-checked several times on every officer's shift. Of course, this can be automated with very simple software.

In this day and age, even with hyperinflated "cop prices"--there is NO EXCUSE why a system such as this is not already widely in use.
