"SheGate proved that this community is just as vicious, just as judgmental, and just as intolerant as those we seek asylum from."

Which translates to "I take internet trolls very seriously"

I have no idea how anyone could take tiny vocal minorities seriously on the internet at this point in history. You cannot eliminate internet trolls no matter what you do, all you can do is just ignore them and not give them a reaction, the second you give them a reaction is when shit hits the fan and it will completely take over all discussion.

I don't give a shit about askvoat so I don't really care one way or the other though, but its probably a sign of things to come. Voat is fine until you see mutiple costco ads on the front page, then jump ship.

Unsub and join askgoat should make a post to make it a default sub instead

Kal

You linked to your own post. I should probably just edit my other comment and put this there so you can't downvoat me twice for pointing out what you did.

Kal

Did you really just link to your own post and say the same shit?

DJexs

Can someone explain how this is bad? He admitted that he was wrong and that following the established rules is the way to go.

norse

Voat is just beginning to grow, it is still under a ddos protective barrier. and i believe it is WAY to early in its beginning to predict its demise, i am also beginning to get pretty bored with all these posts about admin abuse, ive yet to see one. this is the beginning of a new beginning not the beginning of the end.

Lobotomy

Oh god everybody the sky is fucking falling! Like, I get where you're coming from, homie, but this isn't the end of Voat, nor is it the end of the world.

I don't go to McReddit because of the statism and apparent BOTs/shills. There is no discussion on controversial topics - you're either with the game or some stupid anti-science tin foil, yada yada. McReddit's motto was "the front page of the internet" but I think it really should be "Conform or die!"

Peglius

so if your so sure that @puttitout is wrong, and its the end for you, leave. that simple. The fact remains that the request was legitimate. Would i choose /u/she to moderate anything? no i would not, but its not my place to enforce that, neither it the job of the admins, THATS /u/puttitouts whole point! what they DID do was remove /v/askvoat as a default sub, which was completely legitimate, and a fantastic way to keep the integrity of out community AND solve the problem about the questionable modding policy's

Tleilaxu_Ghola

Where is a good synopsis of "SheGate"? I have been a bit out of the loop since the Kali 2.0 release.

eldorann

There is now a subverse, /v/askvoatfreedom , where one asks anything they want to post. There is absolutely no moderation of any kind.

If you don't like something, don't read it. QQ to your mother.

Hi_im_Jesus

What is the alternative to voat ?
