The address is 1350 John R Road, Troy, Michigan and the official name is Maple Office Park. Unfortunately, the Oakland County GIS requires you to pay to see tax records.

Now for something intriguing: there's another place called Maple Office Park Limited Partnership located nearby at 1334 Maplelawn Drive, Troy, MI. When you type this address into Google Maps, you get another nondescript building with one of the windows completely blurred out. I don't know why it would need to be blurred, since the windows have the blinds closed and there doesn't seem to be a sign there. Something's up.

Clearly I tried to put this place out of my mind for a while. But something inspired me to think of this post again. That extra info you gave actually did nothing to stop me wondering. It only created more questions. But thank you for your response and info. lol I did not mean for that to sound defensive. I just looked at what you mentioned there, and it's very strange indeed. Sometimes I start posting to places like this for answers, but I find that I usually end up more uneasy.

Get the license plates of some of the vehicles parked there, then use a service to look up the owners.

Might want to be on a VPN when you do that.

Not at all saying that this what this is...but, where I live, the main ATC is in a building just like this, far away from the airport, unlabeled, and secured.

Also...part of it is underground. Just for your interest.

EDIT: Nowhere near this big though. Nowhere near.

The parking lot is always full on weekdays. There is no visitors or solictors entrance or path. Just the gated one. I'm giving it a couple days and will walk up to the entrance and see what's what. During what appears to be business hours.

Were you taking pictures for the Wikipedia entry under "generic office building?"

CeciNestPasUnComplot

Heh. Actually, I think it's the building's generic, milquetoast appearance that gives me the uneasy vibe the most.

Interesting. Where is this located? State is fine if you don't want us to know where you live exactly.

I found some old forum posts where a few people said it was a GM Onstar call center. Those are from 2009, though. So, that might not be the current tenants.

CeciNestPasUnComplot

Yeah, it WAS until about 5 years ago. I figured it is prime for something like NSA since the building probably already had the proper communcations wiring and infrastructure in place.

oh, so you mean its a corporate/military coop where gm works with nsa so they can track you....either that or some guy got creeped out cause some weird dude was cruising around taking pics for no apparent reason, then ran away when they tried to ask what he was doing there.

I took this pictures about a week or so back. Today I returned to get more pics. An SUV that was parked near the rear started speeding up to me even though I was on the outside of the rock barrier. I then rushed into the woods. I saw the vehicle then exit the facility and go down the street to the parking lot on the other side of the woods. Instead I just walked back out in direction of the facility and crossed the street to where I actually parked.

that

So there had to be guards sitting in the SUV watching everybody? That's some Area 51 shit.

CeciNestPasUnComplot

The vehicle did not appear to be occupied and I saw no exhaust, despite the temperature. I was quite surprised to see it flying into my direction suddenly.

The building used to be occupied by OnStar up until they moved to downtown Detroit. It was vacant for about a year, and haz now beenwhatever it is now for maybe 5-ish years(?).

Wow, that is pretty odd. It might be worth it going to the public records office and looking up who owns that space, if you can do so without having to give identifying information.

I'm guessing it's the future office for some defence contracting company..GE or the like.

Are there ever any cars out there?
