Do we get to know the number of people dead from these asset forfeitures? Of course not. Remember we're talking about people losing their homes, their farms, their means of making a living in many cases.

Forced collectivization in the Soviet Union was blamed for millions of deaths. I think that if we actually bothered to look at those numbers closer we'd find that they're exaggerations and that when compared to our own numbers you'd see parity between the two regimes.

Good insight. There is a reason the black lives matter movement has traction. The Hardest part is getting people to give any shits about how broken the for profit the "justice" system is, we collectively sit back and let the system evolve and grow deeper roots when we all know its a wasteful self-defeating Monster that needs to be destroyed. Just no one has the wearwithall to stand up to it.
