Your laptops do if they have webcams, your tablets do, you put everything on cloud, your phones are tracking devices with trianulation, mics, cams, motion sensitivity and all of it gets recorded in a metadata file....so why would you 1. care and 2. be supprised?

This is the sort of stuff that will find use in parallel construction. The only thing that has prevented smartphones from becoming permanent live mics is the limitations of batteries.
