Dwyer said police were making the disclosure about the fabricated account to “make sure the public knows that they are now safe.”

The fact that it taints the jury pool is just a bonus.

Seems pretty clear to me that we need to fundamentally change the training and standards for police. An IQ requisite, reaction-time tests, psychological examination, ect.

Side note, doesn't it scare you that some cops have no clue that they even check evidence after an attempted murder? Scares the bujesus out of me.
