Not sure if the US wants a war with China. I'm not 100% convinced the US would win that war. It's clear that China's computer hacking skills are vastly superior. Knock out a few satellites and a few aircraft carriers, and all that's left are long range ICBMs.

The US elites want to make money off china, but on their own (USD) terms. The Iran deal is more about preserving the reserve status of the dollar, and maintaining dollar denominate oil markets so we can have cheap(er) energy.

The U.S. has been collaborating with China for a long, long time. Remember when we brought in their workers to build our roads and railways (rail work began in 1865, roads before that)? That wasn't done without some quid-pro-quo. No idea what we were offering up, though if anyone can chime in, I'm all ears.
