I'm glad this is on /v/Conspiracy rather than /v/news . This is not particularly good news. Why?

According to a 1992 amendment to Colorado’s constitution called the ‘Taxpayer Bill of Rights’ when the state earns more than they anticipated from a given industry, they have to return the difference to the people.

That's a clear revelation that the state government is a business with a business plan and a profit model. If there is a shortfall -- it was also anticipated and also by design.

A tax differs from a sale or profit because there is legal force behind it. If it was lawful to pay the first penny, it should be equally necessary to pay the last. This is a snapshot of a thug saying, "We got more loot than we can carry. Looks like we're done robbing your bitch-ass, dog."

Not only are they corrupt, but they're pig-fuck stupid: why not just "anticipate" a trillion dollars?

Never thought I'd see a TABOR article on a conspiracy sub. Maybe op should look into that

Smoke weed and get tax refunds err day!

scrotums

What's the conspiracy?

madmalloy

Making it illegal with lies good enough for you?

Or do we have to go deeper?

scrotums

Maybe 4+ years ago, there was a conspiracy.

4 states have legalized it already. Nothing is stopping the other 46 from doing it but themselves.

"legalized"

DEA is still shaking down dispensaries though.

Maybe because the mob still rakes in profits from the remaining 46 states.

Not that there is any difference between between the gov and the mob besides who profits.
