Looks like a bad photoshop, text slants on the sign.

grandmacaesar

It's actually "martial law", not Marshall.

The rest of your comment is just as inane.

batcountryharlot

Read This right here and you'll understand, comrade.

I was actually about to link the dude to it. But I left the site for a few hours to explore the world outside of my computer.

Them signs. Every hurricane season they pop up. Any fool can see the signs are everywhere!

toobaditworks

FEMA's website says September is Preparedness Month. I think the sign is more of a business trying to make money off it. But it's still a good idea to be prepared. I don't see any conspiracy either or why anyone would think anythings weird about it. I guess it's because all the talk about 'something's going to happen in Sept'. People like to make predictions. I don't buy into any of that.

Drenki

Well, ready.gov says that Sept. 30th is national preparadeness day. So these signs are wrong.

toobaditworks

http://www.ready.gov/september

2015 National Preparedness Month (NPM)

Theme: Don't Wait. Communicate. Make Your Emergency Plan Today.

I don't see anything wrong with this. They are telling people to stock up on food and medical supplies in case of an emergency.

Drenki

The signs say "Make your purchase by Sept. 15th" but ready.gov says "Sept. 30th is national prepparathon day". That's what I mean when I say the signs are wrong.

toobaditworks

Oh I see. I don't know why they say that. I'm assuming this is a business trying to drum up business.

Drenki

Yes, very likely.

It's hard to know what to believe these days. JADE HELM 15 is/was supposed to be a secret. So some have speculated that one of its purposes is to test how leaky the military's planners are.

It involves a huge swath of the southern US. Everything from California to Mississippi. Maybe if you know about the exercise, but don't spot them, it's considered a success?

Here's the thing, the US President currently has the power to secretly and without justification declare a person to be a terrorist. This could easily be done to gun owners, church-goers, Democrats, Republicans, anyone without a Facebook account, and so on. It's completely arbitrary: https://theintercept.com/2014/07/23/blacklisted/

Some people think we're already under martial law, that it perhaps did not end after the Civil War (I can find its declaration, but no evidence that it was rescinded) or that perhaps it was declared secretly after 9/11. What I do know is that starting in the 1970s US Presidents started issuing signing-statements, which can override all or part of a law or invent new laws from scratch.

Now, there had been signing statements before this, but they were just comments like "haw haw, this is gonna be great". Literally, just comments that were unrelated to the legislation.

Giving the President unilateral powers like this completely defeats point of separating the powers. Congress should draft legislation to create laws. The President should carry out those laws (execute them). The judicial system should hold people accountable to them or overturn them if they violate the basics in the Constitution. So things are pretty messed up with the way signing statements are being used.

Recently, the US rescinded its ban on domestic propaganda. The official story was to let Voice of America / Radio Free Europe be listened to locally, but the full effect is that US FedGov can play anything they want on TV.

Some people believe that a number of high-profile shootings are actually government propaganda. They claim that you can spot some of the same "actors" and "crew" in multiple incidents. Things like the Sandy Hook shooting and the one with the TV reporters. The idea is that some of these are propaganda to create the false belief that guns are inherently dangerous. Obviously, they are only as dangerous as the person using them. Notice how the focus by major media outlets is always "How much more tightly should we control guns?" when the real question should be "Why aren't we doing more to help people with mental illness?"

So to bring everything together: US FedGov wants to disarm the population because having an armed populace is threatening to them (no idea what exactly they want to do that would incite people to violence, but they've done enough that it's not hard to imagine). They start spreading propaganda about how no one should own a gun and public sentiment shifts. Once they declare guns to be contraband, more of the populace is willing to cooperate in identifying who owns a gun. The surveillance apparatus helps here, too. They can pretty much figure out who's armed from everything from concealed carry licenses, to NRA memberships, to social media postings. JADE HELM 15 is practice for the military forces who would be responsible for taking down those who would resist the ban.

If I had to guess, it's so that there wouldn't much violent resistance to a draft for an upcoming war. It's not just me who feels like we're being pushed into WW3.

Check out this YouTube channel if you're curious about any of this: https://www.youtube.com/user/StormCloudsGathering/videos

Most of the things he talks about can be backed up by research and links are provided for each video, but it does always come down to who you trust to get information from. He does a good job of only making claims that can be backed up. The videos are put together really well and he strikes me as a strong critical thinker. Sometimes the music is overly dramatic, though.

The website is http://stormcloudsgathering.com (don't go to scgnews.com, it's not his anymore).

US military already has fake cities they use for practice. Here's one that made the news: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10634411/US-army-builds-fake-city-to-shoot-at-during-training.html

MARSHALL LAW? If you're not going to spell it right, you could at least go with MARTIAN LAW!!! The sacred law of the red planet.

Sparks, can I marry people?

Drenki

I DON'T KNOW! YEAH! SURE!

batcountryharlot

If you don't know by now, you've not been on this subverse very long.

batcountryharlot

None of my family believes me about this shit. They won't let me stock up so we're all just fucked.

Phivex

Whether or not people think some massive conspiracy is going on, families should at least be somewhat prepared for natural disasters. Not doing so is very short-sighted. You could use the guise of a natural disaster to prepare for something else, if you'd like.

It's stupid easy for food. Just buy one extra can of something every time you get groceries. With a sharpie, label each can with the date you bought it so you always eat the oldest first. Aim for about 72 hours at first. Also grab a first aid kit. Hell, just those two things can seriously help your odds in an emergency situation.

Where were these sings posted?
