I realize this is wildly out there as it is a show about astrophysics with Tyson, but this is really stretching.

There are a lot of gorse assumptions, the biggest being that alien civilizations are anything like us at all in social behaviour, civilization development or even technology.

It's stuff like this that also continues to foster my believe that Snowden is a figurehead and possibly still working for the US government. His goal was not to expose this great spy network, but he's carefully orchestrated to show that the world is okay with the spying. He is part of the propaganda narrative.

He's become a star in a global media that would suppress anything remotely like this in the past. The evidence he presents has been nothing more than crappy slides and heavily rededicated PDF files and yet there is no challenge to this, where as the 9/11 truth movement has showed mountains of proof for controlled demolition and they are met with disgust and silence.

Answering stuff like this and being in these types of interviews is part of the dumbing down of the planet.

Could Snowden be genuine and I be paranoid? Potentially. But everyone needs to look at him objectively.

I don't think you're being paranoid. Everything the government allows in the media has an intention. Nothing is random.

I imagine that's a comforting thought.

But the United States government is really just a large, slow moving blob of vaguely cohesive chaos.
