Nothing. Contrary to the prattling idiots on TV the state is not a magic wand for curing all the ills of humanity. This is doubly true when the cost of waving the "magic wand" of state is collateral damage as described in the OP. Go ahead and try and explain all the "good" that state interference has done to the numerous innocent families who have been torn apart or mercilessly harassed by busy body functionaries who desperately try and justify their existence.

Welcome to WA State. I'm actually looking to move to ID. (it's only 8 miles away from my currrent location, and I already work in ID).

CPS lied about that, google CPS lies and look at all the other documented cases of them doing that to get someones kids.

My high school german teacher, who just happened to be a closest communist, once told us a story of when he lived in Austria.

He said that his wife gave birth to their first child in Austria, in their own home. This teacher was certified to deliver children so it went smoothly.

Two years later they tried the same thing in America and were almost arrested. I believe he said this happened around 1980.
