Thought: xeemee is the creator and mod of that subverse, and I believe that mods and sub owners can see deleted comments and submissions.

Maybe. This needs to be answered. Mods, shouldn't be able see what users delete any more than regular users.

I think it's mostly a relic of the mod tools, mods need the ability to delete, and more specifically undelete, posts. It's possible that the code for the delete and undelete functions don't discern whether or not a mod or the original author deleted the content, which doesn't seem unlikely.

Voat's open source, so someone could always check the source code. Not me though, I am no good at reading code.

I made an intentionally inflammatory comment to see who was watching my account. Then deleted it. I got a response long after it was deleted. Check out the time stamps.
