The forbidden truth is that by providing military aid to both Syria and Iraq, Russia is (indirectly) confronting America.

Russia is testing the waters with America. Plenty of those to come in the near future I would say. As it seems, Russia will continue to push the U.S. out of the middle east by cutting them off from their 'sponsored rebels', etc. one bomb at a time.

Think about it, if Russia had full control of the oil fields in the middle east, via puppet states, then imposing sanctions on the U.S. (or by extension the rest of Europe) would make for a nasty bite back.
