So assuming this is true... which of these is correct?

1) Damaging the brain so that it's "not being used as directed" makes you atheist, leftwing, and less able to embrace a "nonmaterial true reality," thus easily controlled in the material world... or

2) The brain is pre-damaged, let's say "engineered" to lock human beings into a certain malleable mold, and this is our first step toward breaking the chains.

No good, the magnets make you more atheist, and more leftist. If anything, our politicians have already been getting daily treatments.
