Nay. Let's not play the "default subs" game here.

IntellisaurDinoAlien

YAY.

ProgressiveRevert

Nay, it how Reddit die in the first place. By making defaults.

spasticbadger

Well I can't subscribe so it would be helpful... Any ideas?

Persona_Manager

I left because people thought inconvenient truths are too much for the masses to handle. That and shills.

grandmacaesar

I think inconvenient truths sometimes have to be forced. People have been taught by god-box that attacking "conspiracy theorists" is noble. We have to carefully cram truth into their eyes and ears. It will no doubt offend some people initially---the people that have been pussified by the msm---but they'll get over it. At the same time, you wake one or two people up.

That's the way it works. For every ten people you try to wake up, only one or two listen. However, those one or two don't go back to sleep, and as converts, they begin waking others as well.

I agree with Unicorn, its not a good idea at all.

salvia_d

Personally, I don't think there should be any defaults if at all possible. I think once people join they should see the top subs and be able to click on the ones that they want to join, like a list.

edit: missed a word.

PrivateJoker

I agree, no defaults. Default subs create all sorts of power trips/drama/bullshit and allow all sorts of narratives to be pushed out.

archonemis

I'm going to make a v/atheism sub laden with faux-intellectualism and hate.

Free fedora with subscriptionz.

Persona_Manager

Dude, who cares about downvotes? Forcing something that has to organically shape itself is just wrong.

Persona_Manager

Conspiracy theories are hardly controversial anymore. We need to wean people off MSM. If they dislike, they downvote. Isn't that how democracy works? We can't silence ourselves just because we make people uncomfortable with harsh truths.
