I worry he is CIA and this is to make him seem a hero, then we get a liberal president, the liberal president pardons him. He comes back to the USA and runs for president and gets elected and we get another CIA president. This would make a lot of sense and is maybe the only way someone with CIA history would now be allowed into the white house

It's a Trap !

FidgetyImp

The fact that he is still alive leads me to believe that he was part of a controlled release of data. This 'bombshell' is nothing more than another part of the pantomime that is the Snowden leak.

jerry

Bombshell? Since when did Nancy Grace start shitposting on voat?

Stoph777

Well they've bloody well offered it to everyone else!!!

TiagoTiago

Is he saying anything still? I thought he gave all the data to journalists he trusted under the condition they assumed responsibility for properly filtering stuff to only put out what would be in the public interest, and published the leaks in a spaced manner to make it harder for the public to forget about it...

HoneyNutStallmans

He did, but people tend to remain in the dark about what's going on and say their stupid, ignorant opinions.

Freakazoid

His s.o. is with him there.

Tangent-love

I have always thought he was a CIA or at least U.S. asset. I don't think that he released anything that was really bad mostly just conformation of what we already knew.

Monster_White_Cock

I don't believe they'd go as far as to assassinate him, but arrest him and make his life even more miserable, yes. He's simply too high profile to just knock off.

Snowden took one on the chin for American citizens. There should have been much more civilian support for him (still can be), but, that's the way the majority of the public is now.

I believe Snowden will die a bitter, betrayed old footnote in future underground resistance tales.

klongtoey

they can always suicide, accident, or disease him.

TiagoTiago

Or they could frame Russia, or Russian sponsored agents, for the kill.

WhipDisco

If he was a CIA asset my mind would be blown, some next level mind games.

TiagoTiago

Maybe the NSA was being too careless and getting into another agency's territory; so they made it the scapegoat and are disguising any future programs of theirs as being NSA's for plausible deniability in case they get caught.

Pawn

this is all very fishy, and I hope snowden doesn't fall for the trick.
