Does Reddit hide certain comments/post for other users? ( conspiracy )

There was just this post:

I am not able to see his comment.

It is visible for him though though, so normally he would assume, that it was posted correctly.

I dont know how accurate this is:

But I checked his comment history and I think he has been shadowbanned from /r/news [2] and /r/worldnews [3] . The comments he made there, are only visible in his account history.
