This happened 9 years ago and for some dumbass reason the Daily Mail is trying to cash in on the rage train. Come on now. Yeah it's shady but the time to be mad about it is long gone.

this issue is a continual problem globally and through most major institutions. it never hurts to be re-minded of the extent of the problem and it's seriousness. there are many that simply deny reality unless it is from the 'mainstream' media - so at least in this case the mainstream didn't just cover it up - even if they were late.

But they weren't even late. Plenty of MSM sources covered this when it was actually relevant. Hell, it's even in NASA's semiannual inspection report, which you can view here.

the nytimes & news4jax links are from 2015. the daily mail references information from 2010, which is obviously years after the 2006 pieces.
