Because they can't allow ANY attacks.

I own a bar, if a child molester comes in, and someone proves it, and I see them going to bash his head in, guess what, as much as I disagree, I still have to stop him. This is not a conspiracy to protect IS. This is a side effect of capitalism.

Practically, sure, but businesses don't survive if they don't think a couple steps ahead, and long term always wins. I'd put headphones in, and "not see it," but the risk of the subsequent actions WAY the fuck outweighs the satisfaction of what happens immediately.

DDOSs are kind of a shitty tool to use against a distributed architecture to begin with. Their complaining about it makes me think that they don't know their stuff...
