Crimea never wanted to be with Ukraine. Their are literally dozens of raw video of Crimeans saying so.

Ukraine is a poor country and there isn't much there worth looting (especially when you consider that the US political establishment already has, and exercises, the ability to plunder the wealth of the American people). I think that the Ukrainian situation can best be understood as the latest step in a consistent policy of aggression and expansionism aimed against Russia.

The American regime has correctly identified Russia as the only state in the world capable of effectively resisting American domination. China is dependent on imported resources (particularly oil) and, without Russian help, could be forced into submission by the same kind of criminal "hunger blockade" that the British used against Germany in the First World War. Other states whose rulers are willing to resist US domination are too poor or too small. Besides, they lack nuclear weapons and thus the US could use its own nuclear weapons to massacre their civilian populations without fear of retaliation.

You know any poll that has 90% agreement has me concerned. Hey I'm not saying western media is right and Russia is just the new Nazi Germany ready to swallow Ukraine but 90% agreement? I mean could someone look into the polling process perhaps some foul play? because my brains having a bit of a hard time wrapping around this. It just sounds like the other side of the fence propaganda.

If you look at the polls done in crimea 20+ years ago, they also had very high agreement to separate from Ukraine.

It is hard to believe, but Crimeans really really really ... really did not like Ukraine. So all this fucking garbage about "Crimea is Ukraine" and "Illegal Annexation" is fucking bullshit.

Crimea hated Ukraine way before any of this started. They took the first chance they got to get the hell out.

It's also because Crimeans don't consider themselves Ukrainians and consider themselves Crimean first, and then Russian. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/monkey-cage/wp/2014/03/06/do-crimeans-actually-want-to-join-russia/

It would be like if Canada was given to the US without asking anyone.

50 years later, you can bet your ass you'd have 90%+ voting to become Canadian again.

Pretty much this. That's why when Russia invades Georgia it's fair play, but when they invade Ukraine it's the end of the world as they know it.

Good write-up man, well put together.
