Well that certainly makes it hard not to be paranoid. That must have taken a toll on your mental health. :(

I had a terrible experience for the same thing. Someone had stolen my sticker tags off my license plate with a box cutter or knife. I was told to get out of my vehicle without being told why after showing my registration papers and being read the riot act. I thought I was going to be cuffed and stuffed. He just wanted to scare me to death even after I proved my innocence.
