The only way for true transparancy and to make sure the mods aren't abusive (like they were on reddit) would be to make the moderator log public. If that's not an option build into the software, a bot can be made that posts all moderator actions from the mod log into a /v/conspiracymodlog subreddit or something.

I believe this is the only way to improve the moderator situation. That and making sure all the previous mods stay out of power here.
