I can't believe the general populace doesn't see the forest for the trees:

1. The government can claim you are a terrorist with no proof and deny you basic civil liberties
2. The government can claim you are a threat and remove your ability to fly; now arguing this arbitrary classification is enough to strip civil liberties.
3. The government can compel you to go to a government doctor who can claim you are a threat and remove civil liberties.
4. The government uses data compiled by a for-profit, revolving-door policy organization to push for mandated vaccinations and health procedures, and refusal can essentially make you a threat - see above.
5. The government is legally able to lie to you in order to get a confession, further information, or really anything it wants - lying to the government is a felony for non-government people
6. The government is under no legal obligation to not dragnet surveil everything and everyone, regardless of legality.
7. The government is allowed to completely and utterly use mass media to push pro-war, military grade propaganda disguised as honest 'news.'
8. The government is excluded from most laws the people it should be composed of and for are beholden to (insider trading and health care)

If rights are going to be restricted from citizens based on the fact that the government put them on a watchlist, then citizens have a right to due process before the government puts them on a watchlist.

This is sensible on the surface. But how difficult is it to get on a watchlist? You don't have to actually be guilty of anything.

It means they will be able to disarm anyone who doesn't conform in the ways they want.

We're only 300 million all in all, including the children and elderly (and women, which I'm sure aren't as represented on the list)

You know what's insane? The implication that as much as 10% of the population is on a watchlist that the government finds "dangerous" is insane.

The issue isn't gun control, the issue is Muslim terrorists. Obama is distracting from the real problem, firing up the left with an unrelated agenda.
