NATO is going after Assad and Russia, not ISIS ( conspiracy )

Over the weekend the following has been reported:

-Russia has stated that America and France are simply bombing empty targets. Hitting targets already vacated by ISIS.

-Israel bombed a Syrian Army convoy on Friday..

-US and Israeli jets are practicing with Cyprus's S-300 (Russian made) Anti-Aircraft system. Developing techniques and counter-measures against Russian AA Systems.

-US bombed a Syrian Army position on Monday morning.

Now that the hawkish British are there bombing as well, the next two weeks will be interesting.

The US targets Assad, Russia the FSA and Turkey the kurds. They all say they bomb ISIS because that't more popular.

What interests me more is what Putin is going to do if the allied coalition does indeed take out Assaad's regime.

  • Russia could potentially take a page out of the U.S. playbook and initiate proxy wars throughout the middle east more heavily than the U.S. has ever done

  • Russia could hire local Syrian mercs to bomb the pipeline continuously so it could never be fully built and or operated to Europe's advantage

Who knows what could happen in the end, but I do know the Russians aren't going to just roll over that's for absolutely certain.

Russia is in a bad spot. Basically, NATO forces in Turkey can cut off both naval and air supply routes to Syria. So, Russia has to play nice--meaning it can't just setup a no-fly zone. NATO will definitely challenge a Russian no-fly zone.

But NATO airstrikes alone won't take out Assad. At some point NATO will have to stage an incident in order to get ground troops in. And guess what, the American public is in favor of ground troops in Syria.

I don't know about this one. It's highly unlikely the American people would favour another war in the middle east especially since Iraq for the most part was a disaster, which spawned all these extremist groups to begin with.

If Russia (or any other civilized opposition to the west existed), NATO wouldn't exist. NATO's sole purpose is to go after Russia and/or China. Dog bites man, next at 11.

Only a spoon fed, MSM moron would think NATO is like some kind of good-guy alliance waiting for the next super Nazi's to materialize.

All of this is to remove Assad from power, enabling the gulf states to run a natural gas pipeline to Europe, hobbling Russians ability to hold Europe hostage with its natural gas.

Also, the oil industry believes Syria has a lot of oil--9th largest reserve in the world. But the Assad regime has been closed off to western oil producers and pretty much makes enough oil for domestic consumption.

There are at least 20 different companies in Kurdish controlled Syria conducting oil exploration.
