The rules of western life:

  1. go to elementary through high school, get your vaccines, eat your vegetables

  2. get a college degree in some field - doesn't really matter what

  3. Buy a house and get married with the intent of procreating

  4. pay your taxes on time. CONSUME! OBEY! CONSUME!

  5. Support your troops and your government - don't think about it, just do it!

My own thoughts on this is that people used to be enslaved to their mortgages but there is a younger generation who are growing up earning subsistence wages and with tighter regulations and criteria on home loans that this option isn't so viable anymore. So much stressed/bad debt tied up in housing that western governments are ensuring property prices rise or at least maintain to clear the debt. Unfortunately that also means a strangulation of housing supply.

How do we enslave our young if they can't afford a house/mortgage? Something your parents would have easily accomplished on a donkeys wage. Well you saddle them with debt in another way and education is the number 1 barrier to entry for most drone jobs.

It's actually pretty fucking sick if you think about how the youth in particular are getting totally shafted.

Would wallstreet subsidized free college prevent more debt-slaves?

un1ty

LOL - ok Bernie.

What happens when the Wall Street 'subsidies' stop coming in? Maybe if the economy actually collapses or the system itself changes, where does this magic free money come from then?

Taxes. Taxes from those able to get a job and pay taxes will be the next to subsidize the shitty 'safe-space', lib-tard, SJW producing universities. They're getting very good at producing the next gen of youths hell-bent on preventing anyone from being offended and to make everyone feel secure by wanting - nay - DEMANDING all our liberties are traded away.

Wall Street will fight tooth-and-nail to prevent their cream isn't pilfered any more than it needs to be, let alone for educating the useless eaters.

RedditIsPropaganda23

The fed already prints all the magic money it wants. We have enough to spend Trillions on war, but not take care of our vets or our own starving children? I call bullshit.

un1ty

Spending money on wars makes money in the long run - its a very lucrative return on investment. Spending money on people? Not so much - at least to them. They want it all and they want it now.

Fuck the cabal. They're on the way out anyways.

un1ty

Pretty much. Sad times that we have to murder and maim others just to get fake paper.

RedditIsPropaganda23

only 25% of corporations pay any federal tax. That is pretty crazy.

All the 1% and richer have massive tax havens, so in actuality, they are NOT paying their fair share of taxes. Tax those people with tax havens.

End the Fed would fix everything but no one wants to get assassinated like JFK.

Stop being the World Police- cut the damn defense budget. DHS, TSA, Military industrial complex, omg. Sorry Trump has all this VERY wrong.

Can't say I dissagree with the commentary, but taxing the oligarchs hasn't gone well in historical context.

If you ask my opinion - we need to install a few guillotines in key areas around the country:

  • every court house

  • lawn of the Shite House

  • in front of every Fed bank

  • Wall Street

Maybe that will remind them of past transgressions on worker class and the outcomes.

RedditIsPropaganda23

We are going to be back in the Feudal system soon.

luckyguy

Barely make more money than people did in 1979?

Failing to take note that worker productivity (amount people make an hour) has been going down since the 60s. 60s is peak. Debt culture and the fed are to blame. Capital used to be productive and complemented skills to bring home more for worker and employer. Now capital is consumptive and entrapping. Bankers got tired of working with entrepreneurs that would only take on as much debt as was rational (and demand rational rates). There's a limit to how much can be lent and so there's a limit to how much a banker can make. Not true any more.

The problem is that it is reinforced on you, heavily, through most of your school life, that you HAVE to get a college degree to get a good job. Even cries of "You can learn all that stuff online for free!" are met with "You pay for the degree though." and this idea that the knowledge gained in a college is worth more than the knowledge you gain in an online course.

IggyReilly

Exactly this. "Get into debt for a better paying job so you can pay for your debt." Everyone thinks I'm nuts because I'm not pressuring my son to go to college but to also look into an apprenticeship for a trade. I have to explain that so many people are earning degrees, jobs that require degrees are in little supply but high demand, whereas trades are looked down upon because "no education" but in my area, baby boomers run all the trades and they're nearing retirement.

Plus, there's a state program where companies offer paid apprenticeships and certification in all trades. Learn while you earn? Makes sense to me.
