I'm thinking it might correllate with the idea that modern education is simply a mind-prison for the young masses. Starting from nursery at 2-3 years old until leaving university with the unbiquitous degree we are formed and conditioned to be meek and subservient to those in positions of authority and/or the fashionable mob mentality of the time.
