Nothing is free. A 5000% increase in power that changes the flavour of the electricity so the consumer unit uses less?

It's trivial to step up voltage by 5000%, but what it looks like to me is he's relying on the time differences between the electrical and magnetic phases of the AC, and trying to convert the magnetic phase back into juice. This can't work because the AC you reintroduce also has a magnetic phase.
