Yep, this pretty much sums up the state of things nicely.

If you want to start poking a pin prick sized hole in this veil of lies, have a look into Mark Passio's podcast on What on earth is Happening?

Yeah it's called the jews screwing humans once again.

wompwompwompwomp3

we are living in an inverted world. those who want to play the money game will sell themselves out fast. those who are good and genuenly try to better the world are being shut down and killed. the planet itself is being suppressed by everything artificial.

what we know as truth and presented as history is actually false and that which is being ridiculed and called fabricated lies are truer than you think.

everyone says think with your brain, but maybe we should start thinking with our hearts

It's like waking up in a sea full of dead people.

The more I learn about everything the more I'm convinced that there is something that is evil out there than hates mankind.

Perhaps it is not the planet that is alien but you. Maybe you're not really from here or are part of the beginning of a massive diversion in the species. Maybe you're infected with some kind of alien DNA or microorganism like that parasite that makes rats seek out the smell of cat urine. Or maybe it is the planet and you're seeing through the veil. Maybe there's a lot of people who spend a lot of time and energy to keep us all complacent with our disturbed reality and forget the feeling we all have that we might not know the truth about our lives.

To collapse or not to collapse. That is the question of this brilliant anarcho-ecology debate session: enjoy. https://vimeo.com/119722889

What you haven't accounted for is that the people who escape the Matrix are bound to silence. The idea that nobody knows the truth is a collective fiction enforced by shadow government.

Thanks for the reply, and I am in the midst of reading the Gnosticism page you linked me while getting distracted reading comments here.

The thing is....I guess I feel unmotivated. I feel apathetic, because no matter why the world is the way it is, no matter how beautiful it can be, or how good and loving and creative and amazing people can be, it is fucked up, and it is slowly falling down around us.

I spent my youth in blissful ignorance of the world, and yet still, still I find myself in the graces of whatever blind deity shuffles our pieces around this planet. By this, I mean I don't live a particular rich or fulfilling life, but I have never had real worries, or problems, health issues, enemies- always had food, shelter, and decent stuff too, not living in poverty. No matter what happens to me, things balance out and then go positive.

I don't WANT this. I don't want this goodness. Somebody else should have this, because I am squandering it. If I lived in turmoil, I would thrive because I would be COMPELLED to act. But I am not.

The side I want to be on doesn't even exist yet.

Sorry for ranting. I guess I have...a lot on my mind lately.

I think it's that the world is slowly falling apart and we all feel so powerless and helpless to stop it. We aren't likely gonna see a WW3 Aramageddon scenario, but that seems less scary than subtle way things are changing.

Onlio

This sounds like the premise to a Philip K Dick book

ElspethTirel

Are you simply trying to imitate Morpheus, or do you have wisdom hidden in your rhetoric?

ElspethTirel

I only recently began to read about Gnosticism. It is interesting how it pervades basically all religions and spiritualities to some extent.

I don't know how I feel about the world. I am lost. I am a firm believer in other worlds, whether transdimensional or in space or whatever. They are out there. I feel disconnected- personally, from things. And to such an extent that I could say I believe in the greater simply because things don't feel right.

Dysnomia

If ya ever need to feel connected, there's a handful of quick fixes. Firstmost is get outside and in physical touch with nature.

Or just find 5g of dried shrooms or 400+ug of LSD and feel the vibes.

arrjayjee

This existence is a simulation. What the simulation is looking for, the purpose of it, I'm not sure. Perhaps it's simply an "alternate history" simulation and some kid somewhere has a research assignment and wants to see what would have happened to Earth if one past event changed and now we have to live out the consequences. One day we may even wake up and find ourselves on another planet having had the strangest dream...

ElspethTirel

The simulation theory is one I like because I could definitely see our world getting to that point in technology. It's only a stretch then, to imagine we do create a simulated world. After all, look how many people love games like the Sims.

I think the biggest piece of evidence in favor of a simulated reality is the Copenhagen interpretation.

arrjayjee

Basically, there are three reasons why simulated realities are or are not possible:

  1. The computational requirements are too high and it's not possible.
  2. The computational requirements are met but there are legal or ethical reasons not for simulating multiple realities.
  3. There are simulated realities.

Of those three rules, any one of them is likely to be true. However, if the third is true, then it's possible there are a near infinite number of simulated realities, because why wouldn't there be is technology and ethics are not concerns?

ElspethTirel

The 1st reason is the most logical issue.

Ethics? Legality? HAHAHA says the United States government.

IBM hit 4.5% of 1 human brain (and all of a cat's) in 2011, and said they'd be able to do an entire human one by 2019

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/graphic-science-ibm-simulates-4-percent-human-brain-all-of-cat-brain/

I believe the generally quoted number of years the U.S. military is ahead of the public in technology is 10. If that were true, and IBM has this potential, and Watson has his potential- who the fuck knows what they could be up to in secret!

And that's not to mention the exponential growth of processor power, which is still being hit every year.

ElspethTirel

It feels wrong, disturbed, tainted. Something about this place just doesn't sit right with me and never has.
