They need desalinization plants. The technology has at least doubled since last looked at as viable. Plus, I think they can afford it as California is the WORLDS 4th largest economy.

I wonder though, that desalinization is not possible due to Fukushima radiation.

The comment that people should make water the center of their lives is so tragically academic. Most people will not and do not care about anything that amounts to the future of sustainability. We will go to war, if not with Canada, then with any other nation today will not willingly trade resources for our currency. Resource wars are likely to come, not in the proxy methods of today, but in full scale nation conflicts.
