They'd kill him

TheBigBlabberMouth

Finally they are stepping forward

pitenius

I like his craziness, frankly, but I'm not a huge fan of Libertarians (not the rank and file, but the party is... manipulative).

ElspethTirel

He is not running as a Libertarian. He is running under a party he created called the "Cyber Party."

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/09/john-mcafee-2016-presidential-run-cyber-party-213432

pitenius

Thanks. I thought I heard something on the radio about him accepting a Libertarian nomination.

bubbadubba

I love this guy, he's trump without the down right idiotic proposals. Hopefully he gains some traction and doesn't revert back to his batshit crazy past.

seerick

Interesting! I like what I see so far but wonder what his economic and foreign policies would look like. Will have to do some digging when time permits.

edthomson92

Can we please band together and demand a debate between him, Sanders, and Rand?

I'm fucking serious, that would help open people's eyes a little bit

seerick

That would be freaking amazing!

NikoMyshkin

He's beating Trump for title of 'most batshit insane guy running for POTUS whose policies actually make perfect lucid sense and benefit the majority of people as opposed to the 1%'

luckyguy

Except that they want to go in opposite direction. One wants to grow government and security theater. The other wants to get non-criminals out of the criminal justice system and destroy wasted security effort.

They can't both be logical at the same time.

farmer-

I mean, "non-violent drug offenders" sounds vague. I wouldn't say I'm pro drug war, but I wouldn't say that "non-violent drug offenders" are without blame. dealers aren't always violent. is a drug dealer a "drug offender" and, if so, what makes you think someone perpetuating an addiction with someone else isn't a crime?

Konran

what makes you think someone perpetuating an addiction with someone else isn't a crime?

Can we lock up bartenders as well then? What about brewers?

Not being an arse - just highlighting the hypocrisy in our laws and ways of thinking.

farmer-

You have a responsibility to cut drunk people off when bartending. I've never heard of a heroin dealer who cut someone off when they were addicted.

Konran

Okay - not wanting to be an arse again...

...buuuut; I agree, yes, a bartender should stop someone drinking when they are getting so drunk that they can't stand, getting violent or generally being a drunken fuckwit. However, this does nothing to stem a person's addiction to alcohol. I've never heard of a bartender asking if someone suffers from alcoholism, and then cutting them off before serving them even a single drink.

You know, with things like tobacco and alcohol in comparison to marijuana and MDMA and then the harder drugs like heroin or crack cocaine it's all just about perspectives.

I am actually someone who argues for people to take responsibility for themselves - therefore I wouldn't blame a bartender or brewery for someone's continued alcoholic drinking just like I wouldn't blame a drug dealer for someone's continued addiction.

bubbadubba

yes you cut drunk people off, when they're obviously drunk. Do you cut them off permenantly because the come to the bar and get drunk every single day for the past 5 years? or do you continue to serve them. I've never heard of someone being banned from a bar or liqour store because they're an alcoholic. If you can find an instance please provide a link

farmer-

http://www.agco.on.ca/pdfs/en/tip_sheets/3052.pdf

You could lose your license if you serve a drunk. There are regulations for drinking. Since drug use and drug dealing is all illegal, there's no motivation to really take care of customers

bubbadubba

My response was particularly aimed at the fact that bartenders don't care if someone is a full blown alcoholic, they will still be served. Just like a full blown heroin junkie will still be served by the drug dealer. Both help to perpetuate addiction. Throw in cigarette companies too which actively look for new chemicals to allow for more nicotine to pass the blood brain barrier which will make your addiction stronger faster. From your original comment you say perpetuating addiction is a crime in and of itself, which it is not. While you may feel it should be a crime to perpetuate addiction in others (and to an extent I agree) it simply is not.

WhiteRonin

That's the thing with plea bargining ... Not really sure what a lot of people got caught for originally ...

farmer-

I see your point

Vvswiftvv17

No.

QWE

You seriously posted this without knowing anything about him post-McAfee Antivirus? wtf? His life story is insane, especially in the last couple years...

bubbadubba

yea he's like if charlie sheen and trump had a baby, with a touch of ron paul

Zski3ski

Maybe Bernie can find him a spot where he can do some good.

WhiteRonin

Or have Trump put him in a double post with Gates or somebody ;-)

CirdanValen

Why would someone who wants to inflate government control want to help someone who wants to reduce government?

Migrantworker

Also wanted for murder and is probably crazy as a shit house rat.

Sosacms

That crazy fucker makes some pretty good points. Maybe it's just me, but i look forward to this election cycle. Normally i don't support any candidate, now I'm struggling between too many.

Migrantworker

Dude is "crazy as a fox" I saw a dateline on him super weird dude but makes good points.

NikoMyshkin

Him, Trump or maybe Bernie?

jerry

Fuck bernie he's controlled opposition plus he supports sjws

Trump is just a mad cunt but id rather have a mad cunt president over an sjw

Womb_Raider

For the love of god, don't vote on what the SJWs are doing. If the SJWs are crossing your mind and influencing your decision when voting, they have won.

jerry

Not when one of the candidates SUPPORTS sjw. Why the fuck would you ignore something like that?

Sosacms

Rand as well. They are all a little too much in their own way and i need to look more into a few candidates. Ultimately I'd like to go in Sanders socialist system with needs but i think we need a Trump to sort some shit out first. It'll be an interesting year. I can't see the left getting it, if we start taking in refugees. As much as i would love to help humanity stop fighting for survival, too much horrible shit comes with them.

WhiteRonin

I've been saying this for a bit here.

Trump to clean up shot and then Bernie to move us forward as a people and nation.

I would love to see them run as a team.

BiscuitFever

He hates what the anti virus has become.

SegFault

He's been divorced from the antivirus program for a long time already, and if you search for his videos you'll even find him mocking what the program has become.

I'm pretty fond of this guy and I'm going to be shilling hard for him next year.

luckyguy

"shilling hard for him next year."

Am I reading text from the past? The time to shill for him is now. 6 months from now it will be Hillary vs Trump, I shutter.

crazy_eyes

McAfee needs to win in the General Election. Not some sold out parties primaries

jerry

This is for real?!? He's running? I'm on board as fuck. He's like the perfect cross between logic and the trump mentality of giving it like it is without the craziness. I like this.

SumerBreeze

Without the craziness? The dude loves hookers, drugs, violence, espionage - he is the very definition of crazy.

glennvtx

Actually, this sounds a lot like the politicians we have now, only he's not lying to hide it.

NikoMyshkin

Yes he is and yes he does. He is still waaaaay better than anyone else running, perhaps other than Trump.

BrownMoses

Without the craziness? The dude loves hookers, drugs,

Loving Sex, Drugs, and Rock n' Roll does not make you crazy.

SumerBreeze

Hey, I love all of the above, but you aren't inviting me to your next poker game or your wife's baby shower...

USA42

He is the smarter, skinnier, Rob Ford.

jerry

I meant more political crazieness. Like how trump was calling for crazy actions, mcaffee isn't
