I think thats very important but what REALLY grinds my gears is that no one mentions the TERMINATOR gene. Monsanto has programmed their product to produce non-viable seed which forces the farmers to return to Monsanto and purchase more products instead of being able to regrow from seed. Profit lines and business model genius aside, this is fucking scary. Could you imagine what would happen if the gene somehow expressed itself outside of the GMO products and started terminating random plant species? I mean, we are just now figuring out (at least publicly) that not only does glyphosate kill bees, but that bees dying off could be an extinction level catalytic event.
