Cable companies are set to raise rates primarily on sports channels. Sports fans who indulge in live televised sporting events have been determined to be the least likely to drop cable due to increased fees. Cable companies are burdening Sportsfans with increased fees in order to make up for the revenue loss due to "cord-cutters." Out of fear of loosing more customers, regular viewers will not see a raise in their bills. Cable companies have implicitly stated that sports fans are the greater fool.

Considering that the rate of cord-cutting increases every quarter, sports fans are likely to see a perpetual increase in their cable bills for the foreseeable future.
