I'm honestly asking, not looking for a circlejerk.

Just a test that would be interesting. Try obscuring the words Palestine and israel (eg: Israeel or Isr@el) and see if maybe that causes less astroturf style response. I'm pretty sure that websites/twitter are monitored in a streaming fashion to detect mentions of Israel (the same way corporations monitor their "brand mentions". There are many start-up type companies that offer this monitor, but it's also pretty easy to just write a bot that uses the twitter API or is a basic HTTP scraper.

TL;DR: Mentioning Israel/Palestine definitely gets nasty, derailing comments in other websites. But what about voat, is that already here?

I mentioned about Palestine being the victim of an violent genocidal apartheid state (Israel) on AskReddit. Only to get annoyed by an paid ISDF troll who threatened to harm my family if I didn't stop speaking out against Israel's actions. The troll, then jumped to /r/conspiracy to annoy me even more. Then he was attacked by fellow conspirators of /r/conspiracy which was fun to watch.

Try it, but becareful. There are some violent ones out there that will try get you bogged down. Keep up the good fight.

I've seen the same trend. My best guess is that they use simple search scrips that (as you mentioned) look through /v/all (sorted by new) and direct the user to the results.

I have seen no real proof of this, but it's pretty easy on a software level, and it would make campaigning and shilling a far easier job. From there all the user has to do is use their same old tactics without any of the normal "digging" such a job requires.
