So they've had completely different results from previous research. I'd call that substantial ic they're able to continually replicate those results. Not just being able to produce their desired results a single time and call it a day.

Alias_Unknown

What? What does that even mean?

So I reviewed all three of your articles. Well, one linked to a forum board with more links that I just don't have the patience for. So lets focus on 1 and 3.

Both heavily reference the Boston Cluster, which the first article sums up nicely with this

“15-25 cases of cancer over nine years among approximately 1100 employees are not an excess of cancer.”

The third article brings up a decent point of

“There is still no rigorous, hard, data for the safety of x-ray airport passenger scanners.” The scientists noted how the safety tests for the scanners were carried out exclusively by manufacturers, and recommended an immediate moratorium on use of the devices until the health risks can be independently studied"

Having the company that gains the most monetarily to approve the technology is just a recipe for disaster.

One thing I noticed though, all three of those links or about 4 years old now. They also refer to cases or incidents in 2010. So I guess I'm curious why have there been no new developments since than. Are your sources simply out of date? Or has this been disproved and is a non issue?

More like quietly swept under the rug.

I always thought it was just a straight up X-ray, which we already know causes cancer.

Don't get me started on X-rays at the dentist once a year....

Alias_Unknown

Oh yeah that dentist causing cancer.

Don't get me started on flying at 35,000 feet or more.

Or living in Nevada, Hawaii or Colorado.

Or eating a significant amount of bananas.

Or living near a coal powered power plant.

Radiation is everywhere at all times. Small doses like a dental x ray is negligible.

partycrasher

Well, I guess you know more than my Oncologist father.

Alias_Unknown

I don't claim to and would actually love to chat with him sometime and learn more about that particular application. Radiation fascinates me, and unfounded fear mongering based on the scary term of radiation irritates me.

Yes, that's why they lay a lead blanket on you, it's fine, FAHGETTABOUTIT!
