I haven't seen this tech exactly, but on the series "Oak Island" they are using classified technology to use lasers from space to detect the location of gold, silver, and gems. If they can detect metals and gems (minerals), they can likely detect hormones in a body.

So for a test on the actual show, the satellite detected a mass of iron, at about 18 inches, so they went out there with a metal detector, dug down 18 inches, and found metal, which was left over bracing from an old hole dug there in the 1970s.

There's already some prototype tech which detects blood sugar levels just by placing a device with an LED light on the skin, no needle pricks required. And that prototype is about 3 years old now.
