I'll admit that I'm not very familiar with this theory. What was their supposed motive? I seem to recall hearing it had something to do with the banks from someone once. What was JFK doing that would have threatened the banks, though?

JFK was taking power from the banks and trying to give said power to the people. Among other reasons you can see why he was murdered by the CIA

I don't know all the details, but supposedly JFK was preparing to dismantle the federal reserve system. Such a move would have ushered in untold prosperity for the average American, but would have neutered the military industrial complex while eliminating the prevailing banking cartel.
