Medical mistakes are the third leading cause of death (400k/yr) in the USA without counting prescription drug overdoses.

Prescription drug overdoses kill something like 50k/yr in the USA.

So when people get uppity about my distrust of the medical establishment and my ensuing distrust about vaccines, I say,

"Lets ban guns!"

Yea, except life in general is not glamorous for anyone. We all die, we all have problems, we all have different additions. I used to think like him but it becomes a never ending complaining/depression cycle. Get over it, life is not a fairy tale. Try to enjoy it while we have some time left.
