Sheckels could be solution if people didn't have their heads up their asses. For example the cheapest and most efficient solution would be to have the two pipelines meet in Iraq and go from there. One pipe for most of the distance. Will compromise happen? We will see. Iraq is an ally of both enemies so it does have a unique ability to offer solutions.

But maybe Saudi Arabia doesn't trust the pipeline touching Iraq because the population is more Shia than Sunni. So the problem is that we can predict with decent certainty that in the future people will behave as if they have their head up their ass and waste and war commence.
