Mexican politicians are making serious cash from their cartels. Cartels are happy, Mexican higher ups are happy. Gun trade is something the cartels already have access to, all fast and furious did was give them a nice discount.

With that said, community leaders and honest politicians are likely outraged, they just have no power to do anything about it. Much the same how honest american leaders are pretty pissed at what isreal and other middle eastern countries are doing to the us (as well as what we did to them first.

Because the corrupt help the corrupt. I'm sure they got a lot out of this.
