So, it's not like it isn't impossible. It "looks" like it happened to reddit, so following down that line of thought then what's stopping the same thing from happening here.

This isn't something I've put a great deal of thought it to, just thought I would throw it out there.

I think it is inevitable when a site becomes mainstream. If someone offers you millions for your hobby project you'll probably take it.

We can see through the evolution of Reddit the importance in controlling content which reaches the mass audience. I don't think a site can go mainstream, and be heavily reported on, if it doesn't represent the status-quo.

Here is the thing though, not everyone will take those millions. Two examples that I know are craigslist and GoPro.
