I doubt you are wrong with your Law and order theory. More security makes us safer right? But I'm not sure about what you mean with Scrubs. House is Sherlock Holmes, but Scrubs, I'm sure they are satire on current healthcare system.

Lag-wagon

Don't bring scrubs into this.

Whenever i watch these shows all i can think about is the exclusionary rule. Can't tell you how many shows are totally fine with police breaking into someones house to get a hardrive for 'evidence'. Or just generally ignore important rules.

** Enhance **

level_101

You only did that once. Not nearly enough. Enhance all of the things.. Many, Many, times...

Damn it! With that attitude we will never catch the (insert bad guy here).

This is just modern television. They do the same for many professions - because people tend to think of themselves as misunderstood geniuses, many occupations held my main characters are misunderstood geniuses as well. Notice how hackers flail their arms at a keyboard and gain root access, or how the uneducated "naturally smart" guy steps right in to solve a world-changing equation.

Galaxyrise

My medical intern friends tell me scrubs is actually one of the more realistic portrayals of the hospital.

How is that a conspiracy? Hell, if the cops couldn't catch crooks and doctors didn't usualy save the patients, nobody'd watch the shows.
