What's the readers digest version of this? To boring to read....

Veridic

Classical economics has a problem called the St Petersburg Paradox, which is a gamble on a coin toss . The classical economist tries to calculate the fair entry bet for the gamble based on the probability of a single event. However, due to math, it's impossible.

So, the physicist comes in and says instead of looking at the probablity of the a single set of coin flips, look at what the average person will make from participating in the bets, and divide accordingly to get the fair entry bet price.

So instead of looking at the probability of random events, look at the random participants over time.

Got it thanks. That was far more informative than what I read of the article.

pitenius

The popular press... Every "recent studies say..." story seems to deform the study.

Did he also mention that you are a 'prisoner' here in a 'time matrix' and you will never leave this colony unless under meeting certain conditional circumstances...also all your systems are a construct to keep you in the 'play pen' prized among them is that 'money system' which was ingeniously designed by various non human scientists.

also you will never 'explore space' or leave this planet/colony (unless under those conditional circumstances aforementioned)

look for it in the small print!

'learn you are on a prison colony with one weird trick!'

scvoon

I can't tell if you're being facetious...

But if you are serious, what are the "certain conditional circumstances" that we must meet?

eldorann

Hinduism said this first.

This physical world is just a playpen for our souls to gain experiences during their evolution.

The pity of this is that after each reincarnation, the physical person can't recall their past lives and so often make the same mistakes. Eventually, our souls evolve and learn not to make those mistakes but it takes time. (Prox. 1 million lives to reach Enlightenment [capital letter E].)

pretty dam accurate i say:

you are going to want to read this:

i wouldn't be as pessimistic as '1 million lives'

i cringe to link to 'Reddit' (but i wanted to see the response to their NSA AI algo) (also human responses)

^^ that's going to take some conscientiousness.

I was referring to the Hinduistic view with a trinity of universes; Physical, Astral, and Causal. Each universe is the same as this universe; galaxies, solar systems, stars, planets, etc.

The Physical universe is where we are now. With our sex, drugs, war, love, etc. which occupy our time.

The Astral universe (which is called Heaven by most religions) is where souls reside and live until required to return to the lower level (the Physical) for more lessons. Kinda like having to go school.

When the soul has sufficiently grown it moves permanently to the Astral universe and stops physical reincarnations. Many souls feel comfortable staying in the wondrous Astral realm. This is similar to those who don't advance their education past High School and are comfortable the way they are.

A cycle begins of souls shuttling between the Astral-Causal realms, similar to the Physical-Astral process. When the soul "graduates" from the Causal universe, it achieves Total-Union-With-God.

The entire block of afore-written text can be summarized by affirming that with each of the three different universes, the soul is purified.

The entire process mirrors the idea of a Cyclical Universe. "God" shatters into a myriad of souls which slowly cleanse themselves until they rejoin and reform "God".

Aah we have had a miscommunication.

The various Races in the Galaxies have generally agreed on a LVL system you ref to 999>

Yes it's interesting but still an 'unknown unknown' I'll explain why..

Humans (defined as Earthling) have let's say 100 'yr' cycles.

Other races can be physical as long as they want (immortal)

So it is hard to say what constitutes 'a life'

As your Qsoul level advances you have more options for DNA containers. You can become in effect as physical as long as you like.

You can regress or advance.

It's really a huge variable, on your path to > 999>

Great convo.

eldorann

This is all merely saying the same thing I wrote. This merely attaches numbers and attempts at objective words. It all means the same thing.

k_digi

  • + 1 but i'm showing you the most continuous probability .

eldorann

My thought is that the referred-to description (the OP) attempts to identify discrete objective processes to what is essentially a continuously variable energy flow.

TLDR; It tries to describe a subjective process in objective terms.

'nuff said and further thought on these differences in expression is mental masturbation.

k_digi

I would rather say that is what a lvl measurement system is aiming to achieve, in a practical sense.

eldorann

I was referring to the Hinduistic view with a trinity of universes; Physical, Astral, and Causal.

The Physical universe is where we are now. With our sex, drugs, war, peace, love, hate, etc. which occupy our time.

The Astral universe (which is called Heaven by most religions) is where souls reside and live until required to return to the lower level (the Physical) for more lessons. Kinda like having to go school.

When the soul has sufficently grown-learned-evolved they move permanently to the Astral universe and stop physical reincarnations. Many souls feel comfortable staying in the wondrous Astral realm. This is similar to those who don't advance their education past High School and are comfortable the way they are.

After completing the Physical-Astral cycling the soul begins a similar cycle of living in the Astral Realm, death, shifting to the Causal universe, eventual reincarnation in the Astral, ad. infinitum.

One million is the approximate answer according to Hinduism, as I understand.

My only reference source is "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda, (real name is Mukundo Ghosh as the former is a title).

404_SLEEP_NOT_FOUND

I would like to get on whatever spaceship you are getting into.

k_digi

see statement : D hey in a Human type DNA container I can't even catch a break !

lets change that hey? lets stage a 'Jail break !' ?

that's a joke, what i meant to say was:

'lets modify human condition so that we may be able to meet aforementioned conditions..'

meanwhile_in_SC

I had a similar thought. What they're proposing smelled like a 'formal' way to justify top-down risk and economic management. Instead of recognizing the strength of distributed systems in a chaotic environment.

teatime

One weird trick to economic prosperity.
