Complaining about his mode of transport on one trip is missing the point. A weak attempt to discredit the idea of climate change. Planes, cars, and all the other stuff we use daily are not at the point of having "clean" emissions yet. But that doesn't mean in the meantime people are going to walk or bike to another city across the country.

Pushing for the development of technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and educating people about what seems to be happening and what we can do about it overall is the point.

Heading down to DC to catch an #EarthDay flight on Air Force One tomorrow with the President. We're going to #ActOnClimate.

— Bill Nye ( @BillNye ) April 21, 2015

That’s hypocrisy at its finest: Air Force One burns five gallons of fuel for every mile it flies, a shocking 0.20 miles per gallon.

And Air Force One isn’t just making a trip from D.C. to the Everglades on Earth Day; the presidential aircraft will travel more than 7,100 miles across two continents, burning an estimated 35,609 gallons of jet fuel.

“According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the statistics arm of the Department of Energy, burning each gallon emits 21.1 pounds of carbon dioxide, bringing the president’s Earth Day carbon footprint to more than 375.7 tons.” David Martosko with the Daily Mail reported. “The White House did not respond to a question about any measures it might be taking – planting trees, for instance – to offset those emissions.”

I figured it out! Chemtrails are actually the Cap and Trade program in effect. You see, they're spraying trees in order to grow trees to offset the carbon footprint and thereby lower our fees.. Right? /s

<sigh> if only..
