And meanwhile, on what often pretends to be the "other side," we've got people who want to punish the NFL because Beyonce offended them. So yes - we really are in danger of making censorship the standard response to anything that offends, with the only distinction being who it is who's offended and thus what it is that they want censored.

Are people actually calling on the government punish them, or are people calling for a boycott? I've only seen the latter. Boycotts are an important way to express displeasure, and to invoke change you want, it's a first amendment right that should be celebrated. However, if the NFL receives government funding, than there may be a legitimate issue in what they "promote."

One of the big differences between the NFL situation and something like Reddit & Twitter is that when NFL puts something out there they are essentially endorsing it, but Reddit & Twitter censors things they haven't put out there themselves, not did they ever endorse.

Certainly there are differences, but I don't believe that there are any differences that negate my point.

At heart, with both the SJWs and whatever it is that they're currently offended by and those who were offended by Beyonce, what we have is a group of people who believe that the fact that they're offended matters - that the mere fact of their offense is so significant that whoever caused it, or merely whoever provided the venue by which it was caused, should be punished. There's really no difference at all as far as that goes, and that's exactly the aspect of it that's pertinent to this thread.
