Some suggestions.

Install Peer block : https://code.google.com/archive/p/peerblock/downloads
Create a custom IP address list or download a Microsoft IP list from http://www.iblocklist.com
Block all outbound MSFT related traffic.

I'd be curious how Win 7 performs compared to that. Not that I use them (well tbh, I have one instance in VM), but regarding the updates that "make even 7, 8 and 8.1 the same spying piece of shizzle as 10", I wonder how bad it actually is.

I know it's possibly not the place for it here, but after all this Win 10 BS I switched, as many, to Linux. I was playing with it for many years, but never used it as a primary OS. Thought I'll be hard etc., but it's really easy. I'd hardly go back. Just a little motivation and encouragement for all that are bothered with Win's spying - go for it, give it a try!

CISA comes out, and suddenly free Windows 10 for everyone! Never mind that it tracks your every move and the government can now be sold that data. How fucking stupid is everyone? I'll never upgrade to that Big Brother bullshit, (as much as the gov. can still track computer shit, no need to make it easier.)
