I wonder if is it possible in our era to create an imaginary war?

Like, create some fake videos over here and there, edit some old footages to make others believe they are recent, make some blog posts about some bullshit(humanitary crisis, bombs hit in the middle of nowhere etc) and so on.

Let's put the logic running. Anyone wants to create a possible scenario?
